ENSSAT, a pioneer in quantum physics education thanks to KWANTEACH

The École Nationale Supérieure des Sciences Appliquées et de Technologie – ENSSAT positions itself at the forefront of pedagogical innovation in quantum sciences. Thanks to the implementation of KWANTEACH from KWAN-TEK, a unique experimental platform for quantum physics education, the Breton’s engineering school offers its students an unparalleled practical and immersive learning experience in France.

KWANTEACH: a revolutionary pedagogical tool

Developed in close collaboration with the ENSSAT teams, KWANTEACH is an experimental device that allows students to explore the foundations of quantum physics in a concrete way. This system, installed within the school’s laboratories, offers students the

opportunity to carry out complex practical work in quantum physics. Pierre GUILLEMÉ, Research Teacher at ENSSAT affirms:

“ENSSAT has been a key player in the development of KWANTEACH. From the very beginning, we were involved, helping to shape a pedagogical tool that meets the specific needs of quantum physics teaching. During its internship, a Master student worked on the implementation of the BASE module which
led to its immediate success among our students. Its ease of use and flexibility have made it possible to offer high-quality practical work from the first year, generating great interest among our students.” KWANTEACH has made quantum physics more concrete and accessible. For the first time at a Master level, it is easily possible to make Quantum physics coming out of the books and into the lab benches. “We are convinced that this tool has a promising future and we plan to expand its use within our institution.”

ENSSAT students, such as Thomas GYSENBERG, Jean-Chriso RATSARA, and Maxime BACLET, were unanimous about the pedagogical interest of KWANTEACH. They highlighted the platform’s ease of use, the quality of the proposed manipulations, and the importance of being able to experiment with the theoretical concepts covered in courses.
“As a photonics student at ENSSAT, I was captivated by KWANTEACH. This platform allowed me to transition seamlessly from theory to practice.
